Denise in a member of Society of Botanical Artists in London, Frankfurt and Madrid. The Artist is regularly exhibiting at the Mall Galleries, London, with the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers.

After completing her degrees she worked for many years as a freelance illustrator in the field of fine art prints, books and greeting cards. These days , she concentrates solely on painting ,using Watercolour technique. The artists is inspired by the jewels of nature found in the garden and surrounding fields and hedgerows of her farm in the Shropshire countryside.

Denise has received the Llewellyn Alexander Masters Award for the most outstanding set of paintings in an exhibition of 800 paintings.

The prestigious Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, US, has recently acquired her painting ‘Pomegranates’ for it’s permanent collection.

Denise says of her work “My aim in painting is to convey the beauty and mystery which is at the heart of nature, moving beyond a mere plant portrait towards trying to convey the depth which I feel lies beneath.”
