Sylvia continues to demonstrate to art clubs and is has inspired many people with her painting workshops. Her enduring love of the countryside is ever-present in her works, with landscapes inspired by her local area. In addition, Paul’s floral still-lifes are a favourite theme of hers, as they provide “endless possibilities for bringing colours together”. She creates using oils, acrylics, and collage on canvas and wood. Since 2013 Sylvia has also been creating textile art and was elected as a member of Art Textiles: Made in Britain in 2016. She exhibits with them every other year at The Festival of Quilts at the NEC and then on tour throughout the UK.
“I love my life as an artist, creating original paintings that I hope reflect the joy I have when working on them. I want to share color, light, and energy.” – Sylvia Paul
