Valery Khattin

Born 1964, Russian Khattin is a formally-trained painter from Saint Petersburg, Russia. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts, Khattin has exhibited widely in a range of international locations including Singapore, China, Sweden and the United States. Khattin’s work is currently held in the Museum of Modern Art, Pennsylvania and the Zimmerli Art Museum, New Jersey, as well as in numerous private collections. Endlessly captivated by the natural world, Valery Khattin’s practice is informed by organic beauty. Developing a style inspired by impressionism and expressionism, the artist’s oeuvre is defined by thickly applied layers of brushwork. This produces a rich body of luminous works which display bursts of colour and emotion. These radiant works suit collectors who admire impressionist works.
All of our wildest and most incredible fantasies, this is just a small speck of reality.
