"My artistic practice explores the interplay between nature, memory, and material through painting in acrylic, oil, and mixed media. I am drawn to the expressive possibilities of combining traditional techniques with unconventional tools, often incorporating household materials found in my kitchen and garden to create unexpected textures and effects. This process allows me to break away from precision and embrace spontaneity, letting the materials guide the outcome as much as my own hand.
I find constant inspiration in the beauty of the natural world and the places I have traveled, particularly in the vibrancy of colour and the way light reveals itself even in the darkest spaces. My work reflects a fascination with how brightness can emerge through cracks, both physically and metaphorically, suggesting resilience and quiet optimism. Gardening plays a significant role in my creative life, shaping my sensitivity to growth, layering, and the rhythms of the environment.
Through the creation of aesthetic landscapes, I seek to translate this personal connection with the land into visual form.
