Park Zone II by Lucy du Sautoy offers a vibrant interpretation of a peaceful park setting filled with light, greenery and quiet movement. Painted in oil on canvas, the scene captures the soft atmosphere of a sunlit pathway surrounded by trees and foliage, rendered with a dreamy, impressionistic softness.
The artist’s distinctive style blends semi-realism with contemporary conceptual elements. The smiling motif carved into the centre of the composition acts as a playful focal point, revealing a sharper fragment of the park landscape within the broader, more atmospheric surroundings. This layered approach creates a sense of depth and invites the viewer to look beyond the surface of the scene.
The colour palette is fresh and uplifting, featuring luminous greens, soft blues and warm earthy tones that evoke the calm beauty of a park in spring or early summer. The gentle blending of colours creates a tranquil atmosphere while maintaining a sense of light and movement throughout the composition. Painted in oil on canvas, this original artwork reflects du Sautoy’s unique vision of contemporary urban landscapes. This original work is available for sale at Signet Contemporary Art and online.
