Contemporary figurative artist Calvin Lai paints a provocative and sensual portrait of the female form in this original oil painting. The artist applies a symphony of gestural brushstrokes combined with rich, warm hues, conveying intimately a sense of intensity and passion. The impressive technicality invested by the artist in this realist depiction is interrupted with expressive sweeps of colour that advance the composition, emphasising a greater depth of feeling within the artwork. This piece is painted in oils on stretched canvas, signed and ready to be displayed.
