In Silent Cove, Lenny Cornforth turns to a tranquil seascape viewed from above, painted in oil on canvas with a calm, contemporary sensibility. The aerial perspective removes narrative distraction, encouraging the viewer to focus on rhythm, pattern, and the quiet movement of water meeting shore. The style leans toward modern impressionism, capturing atmosphere rather than precise detail.
The colour palette is soft and soothing, dominated by pale sands, milky whites, and layered aquas that dissolve gently into one another. Subtle variations in tone suggest the translucency of shallow water and the ebb of waves, while the restrained use of detail creates a meditative visual experience.
This is an original oil painting on canvas and is available for sale at Signet Contemporary Art and online. Silent Cove offers a sense of stillness and escape, making it a refined and calming addition to a contemporary collection.
